The local police force is led by a cadre of ex-GIs, former American soldiers, marines and airmen, like ace pilots Horseshoe (Larry Blake) and Slats (Dick Purcell) who seem to enjoy the hulas, Hawaiian guitars and the high life of this exotic paradise. The friendly rivalry between the two aviators, their antics and their nasty tricks add genuine laughs to this 1938 tale of adventure and romance in the South Pacific.
